After purchasing a one-of-a-kind property from antique dealers, our client found herself caught between an abundance of irreplaceable treasures and a desire to streamline the experience of living and entertaining in her new home. As a highly organized minimalist—who gravitates to clean, white spaces—this redesign evolved into a creative opportunity for our design-savvy client to reconsider her aesthetic palette and push beyond her typical comfort zone.  Our role in this strategic remodeling and interiors project was to help identify noteworthy opportunities to preserve the ornate home’s existing appeal, including the preservation of iron doors, Portuguese inlay tiles and built-in marble tables. Balancing the clients’ vision with an appreciation for the more distinct nuances of this priceless property, we were ultimately able to achieve a more modern and functional space for a family of five with a wide circle of friends.
