This modern Tudor home featured incredible bones, natural light and custom millwork, yet the space felt weighed down by heavy, dark furniture and ornate patterns. Our client was craving a lighter, brighter and more elevated aesthetic, while also considering the realistic wear-and-tear of young children and pets on any new furnishings and finishes. From furniture, to window treatments, to decor, we were tasked with creating a comprehensive design vision, balancing modern style with an inviting sense of warmth. The selection of strategic lighting, updated color schemes and luxurious (but family-friendly) fabrics allowed us to balance sophistication with comfort. Through a series of complementary design choices, we were able to transform the overall experience of the home without physically changing the structure of the original layout.
